BLUE PRINT SHOW - new york

These flyers have come in from design studio Pomelo & Pomelo who will be at Blue Print II which runs from this Wednesday to Friday, December 2-4 in New York. Following their success from the first Blue Print in May, owner Abby Zweifel set straight to work on new collections to present at the December Blue Print show. Using her signature bright colors and intricate line work, Abby has created designs for textile, home and seasonal products. They will also featuring selected artwork from the wonderfully talented Sarah Watson. Sarah and Abby's work compliment each other and work well across many product categories. All art is available to buy outright and a select group for licensing only. By collectively planning and organising the show, everyone taking part has a shared interest in its success and anyone planning to attend can register here.

NEW COLLECTION - jessica wilde

Designer Jessica Wilde joined Not on the High Street earlier this year and has been busy developing a range which includes cushions, art prints, notebooks, gift cards and handmade jewellery. Featuring bright botanicals and quirky creatures Jessica took her inspiration from rural Shropshire and her hometown of Shrewsbury where her studio is currently based. The products - including these Christmas card designs are available online via Not on the High Street and Jessica's own website here. Next April Jessica will be exhibiting at the British Craft Trade Fair in Harrogate.

XMAS GIFTS - hema

Our Friday eye candy this week come from the Dutch chain store Hema whose HQ is in Amsterdam. The company are now in the UK, with a British online shop and retail stores in London, Bromley, Birmingham and Stanstead. I had a browse around the website and it is a place to find something a bit different to the high street. Here are some picks that stood out for their surface prints...

DESIGNER - malu lenzi

Today's featured designer is Malu Lenzi who has just joined the P&P Directory. Malu (short from Maria Luiza) is an illustrator, designer and 'cute maker' - originally from Brazil but currently based in Berlin. Malu used to work as marketing/planner in Ad agencies in São Paulo but since moving to Europe three years ago, she has been following her passion of being an illustrator with love and full time dedication. XMAS 2015 - emily emerson

Today's Christmas designs are brand new portfolio pieces from aspiring illustrator and surface pattern designer Emily Emerson. Emily works in illustration for children's publishing and also creates designs for greetings cards, etc. and would love to see these designs used on products, fabrics, gift wrap etc.

BLUE PRINT NYC - victoria johnson

These are some striking new designs available for licensing from Victoria Johnson. They form part of the portfolio she'll be showing at Blue Print in New York next week. To create the designs she began playing with paint, then chopped up the various papers and used them to make individual flowers for a potential greetings card range. Victoria is represented by Jennifer Nelson Artists who will have lots to see for buyers and clients at this newly established New York show.
