Print & Pattern is off for it's annual Summer Break. Huge thanks to everyone who has been enjoying the blog so far this year. I hope you will have a great Summer and I'll be back in September where we can start to look at new season designs. You can still request a showcase here on Print & Pattern via my email bowiestyle@hotmail.co.uk and I'll post the best submissions when I return. I will be working on my own design project Cest Beau Oui? whilst I'm away and through this fun project I've discovered lots of great people and companies on instagram that I hope I can post about after the break. See you on Monday September 4th!

HOME DECOR - maisons du monde aw17

Print & Pattern is about to go off on it's annual Summer break but before I do I noticed some of the new Autumn Winter 17 designs have started to arrive at Maisons du Monde. They'll be working to five major trends -  Nordic Escape, 5th Avenue, Neo Cottage, Green Addict and So Blush. Two of those trends are already on sale and the first one I've featured here is 'Green Addict'. This collection features natural fibres, greens, golds and botanical touches. Lush leaves, tropical birds, skeletal leaves and cacti all make up this sophisticated range. I've picked out some print highlights and the whole range can be found online now at Maisons du Monde who ship to the UK and Europe.

The second Autumn range from Maisons du Monde to arrive online is 'So Blush' featuring powder pinks, metallic golds, cute woodland animals and typographic messages.

NEW WORK - rachael taylor

For our Friday eye candy we are lucky enough to have a selection of new work by Rachael Taylor. Rachael has been busy updating her licensing portfolio and private archive area so clients will be sure to see plenty of fresh ideas. She has been exploring a variety of subject matter & experimenting with colour palettes that can to cater for numerous licensing opportunities. Rachael is currently overseeing the Make it in Design Summer School which she co-founded with Beth Kempton. The current course is going really well so Rachael is really enjoying the trend led design inspiration for her own work and hopes to find the time to update her portfolio more over the rest of Summer. Please visit Rachael's website for more info.
